Science Fiction Five Yearly- Best Fanzine 2006

SFFY is the longest running, regular fanzine in the world. Put out every 5 years since 1951, the most recent issue snuck into hands in early December and is fantaastic. Articles by Claire Brialey, Harlan Ellison, Rick Coad, and many many more made it a highly worthwhile zine, and it certainly is one of the three best single issues of any fanzine this year.

You can find it at http://efanzines.com/SFFY/index.htm to read in PDF form.

The Drink Tank

Certainly we should be considering Chris Garcia's The Drink Tank as a potential candidate. While sheer productivity by itself isn't a sufficient reason to nominate something, The Drink Tank seems extremely fannish to me -- and that's not a bad thing.

Fanzine Recommendation

I think the subject line says it all. In the Fanzine category, I would like to recommend ALEXIAD, edited by Joe and Lisa Major.

eI- Best Fanzine 2006

There's a lot of great fanzines but Earl Kemp's eI is one of those rare fanzines that transcends. Dealing with science fiction, fandom and the Golden days of Porno, Earl manages to put out five or more issues a year featuring some of the best fan writers in the world.

Issues 24, 25, 26 and 27 are all available at http://efanzines.com/EK/index.html
